S7ven
I was tagged by Cellobella to write seven weird things about myself. I assume they have to be true (it’d be too easy otherwise, I suppose).
- I have metal plates in my face. I had a tripod fracture of the left cheekbone during a game of Ultimate. Then that tryhard, James Hird had to go and copy me three weeks later. Sheesh… some people…
And before you ask… no, they don’t. - My left thumb is bent. It happened throwing a javelin in year 10. I threw it with my right hand but didn’t want to step over the line, and overbalancing, I put my left hand down to steady myself but put too much weight on it. I think it had a slight fracture but I never had it treated. It’s handy though because when I play guitar, it’s on the perfect angle to fret the fat e-string.
- I often think about what I’d do if I was suddenly transported back in time or to a very primitive place, like the guy in Mysterious Island, or Doc Brown in Back to the Future III. I imagine a situation where I’d need to convince them I wasn’t a witch with my space-age clothes and incredible scientific knowledge. How would I convince them that the earth is round and that it travels around the sun? How would I invent electric light? And then I read up on Copernicus and how to make cell batteries.
- I’d like to have entire walls full of bookshelves, though without the actual effort of having to read all the books. I just sort of want to have read them already. Maybe I could just stand near them and absorb them by osmosis. You can do that.
- I sometimes become aware that I’m falling asleep and that I’ve gone catatonic. It’s unpleasant. Being paralysed must really suck… Reeeally suck.
- I have the occasional lucid dream and can pretty much take control of everything that’s happening because I know I’m dreaming and that I’m ultimately in control. (And either I take of and start flying around the place, or everyone gets naked real quick, both of which are fun.)
- Ginger makes me freak out. It feels like that time I had snuss and could feel the nicotine in my veins. I felt sick and giddy… ginger make me feel like that too.

:)
Loved your weird things.
